The PPP Chairman stated that proud nations build strong narrative encompassing their national interests and the welfare of the people instead of toeing individual’s doctrines, which are eventually evaporated and shattered by changes in the international and regional situations.

Bilawal said that Pakistan Day reminds us of our utmost responsibility to follow the footprints of the founders for establishment of a democratic society with peace, justice and protection of human rights as hallmarks of the system. He said that extremism and terrorism have bruised the whole nation and were still posing serious threats, which need strong will to deal with as cosmetic and ad hoc policies on the issues have always backfired. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari pledged that as the true torchbearer of the ideology of Pakistan together with essence of Pakistan Resolution passed eight decades ago, his Party will continue to fight against all odds, injustices and victimizations to achieve the dreams of the founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for a peaceful, progressive and prosperous Pakistan.

Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman and Member of National Assembly Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Saturday that we will be wiped out, but our homeland, you will have to live till the dawn of the doomsday. In a tweet on the eve of Pakistan Day, Bilawal said: “We will be wiped out, but our homeland, you will have to live till the dawn of the doomsday. “PakistanZindabad,” he said.

In his message on Pakistan Day, former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Asif Ali Zardari has paid tribute to the Mother of Democracy Begum Nusrat Bhutto on her birth anniversary. The former President has expressed the resolve that the Party will continue to follow her footsteps with steadfast determination.

He said that such legends are seldom born who have the courage to sacrifice their family, happiness and life in the way of democracy. Begum Nusrat Bhutto always opposed and condemned the brutalities of dictators, he said. Former President Zardari said that Begum Nusrat Bhutto has taught the nation to combat oppression and survive in the most difficult of circumstances with unyielding bravery and sheer determination. President Zardari added that PPP will always oppose the undemocratic forces that try to impose themselves on the people through using extremism and terror as weapons. Former President concluded by saying that the workers of PPP pledge that they will continue their struggle for the defense, freedom and democracy of the country.
