Pakistan, China vow to boost mutual to complete

ISLAMABAD: Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Luo Zhaohui called on Minister for Defence Production Abdul Qayyum Khan Jatoi on Wednesday and discussed ways to boost bilateral ties.

A defence ministry statement said that Pakistan and China had reiterated their desire to further boost bilateral cooperation in areas of trade, economy and particularly defence.

The minister told the envoy that Pakistan was proud of its relations with China that always supported it in difficult times and strengthened its economy and defence. He said both the countries needed to further expand and consolidate their bilateral cooperation for mutual benefit.

Jatoi sought the assistance of Chinese government for expanding and building Karachi and Gwadar shipyards. He also lauded Chinese contribution towards strengthening and developing the defence industry of Pakistan.

The ambassador informed the minister that China would continue to assist Pakistan in areas of economy and defence. He said China was working on a number of projects in Pakistan to make it a prosperous country. staff report

China would never leave Pakistan alone: Chinese envoy

ISLAMABAD—Praising Pakistan’s responsible role after Mumbai incident, Chinese ambassador in Pakistan Luo Zhao Hui has said that China would not leave Pakistan alone in any case and would enhance its cooperation in diverse fields particularly in defence.
According to reliable sources, Chinese ambassador in Pakistan met Federal Minister for Defence Production, Abdul Qayyum Khan Jatoi here on Wednesday in Ministry of Defence Production. The meeting discussed matters pertaining to bilateral relations between the two countries, Pak-India tension and to further boost Pak-China cooperation in trade, economy and particularly in defense.
According to sources, the Chinese ambassador during the meeting praised the responsible behavior show by Pakistan for reduction of tension between Pakistan and India emerged after Mumbai carnage. He stated that China was working on a number of projects in Pakistan to make it economically a prosperous country. He said that China would help Pakistan in up-gradation of Gwadar Port so as to enhance its capacity and make it a hub of economic and commercial activities.
Federal Minister for Defence Production, Abdul Qayyum Khan Jatoi on the occasion said that Pakistan was proud of its relations with China which had always supported Pakistan in difficult times and had played instrumental role in its economic developments as well as strengthening its defence sector. He underlined that both countries needed to further expand and consolidate their bilateral cooperation for the mutual benefits of the two countries. The Minister sought the assistance of Chinese government for expanding and building the Karachi and Gwadar shipyards.
He also lauded the Chinese contribution towards strengthening and developing the defence industry of Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Defence Production Qayyum Jatoi has said that Pakistan is proud of Chinese friendship, which stands by her in every difficult time.

He said this while speaking to Chinese Ambassador who called on him here on Wednesday. Jatoi said two sides exchanged views on ways and means to lift defence ties between two countries.

The federal minister said Chinese government’s contribution in building the Gawadar and Karachi ports would always be remembered in the country’s progress.

“We are keen to further enhance bilateral ties with China in the fields of economy and defence,” he said.

On this occasion, Chinese envoy said that China had been working on various development projects to help Pakistan build its economy.

You know, I've been thinking that if China deploys some of her troops within Pakistan for some sort of a "Military" Co-operation, Indians and Americans would get the message and back up easily. Drones would stop killing Innocent civilians and the message to the west would be crystal clear; Don't mess around in our neighbour hood!

China endorses Pak stance after attacks

LAHORE: Chinese President Hu Jintao endorses Pakistan’s stance of cooperation and dialogue in the Pak-India situation resulting after November 26, a private TV channel reported. Mr Jintao conveyed his support to Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Masood Khan on Thursday. “President Hu Jintao appreciated Pakistan’s commitment to jointly fight terrorism and pursue dialogue with India,” the channel said. Jintao added China would continue to ease tension in South Asia and support Pakistan’s efforts for bringing peace and stability in the region and for the country’s economic development. daily times monitor
