Due to budgetary restraints, interim JF-17 Block III, and a future Project Azm 5th generation fighter, perhaps not.

Reportedly PLAAF is participating with four different types of aircraft, J-7....J-8....J-10....SU-27/30 as well as AWACS.
PAF units involved are No,2....4....7 and 8 Squadrons.

Reportedly our F-16s get plenty of exercise in likes of Anatolian Eagle, Indus Viper and Red Flag so other squadrons are given opportunity to flex their muscles.

Yes, but the J-10C is a new & significant addition.

Indeed, J-10A participated in Shaheen-V in 2016 is like F-16A. J-10C is like F-16 Block 60 almost different generation
of fighter jets in terms of technology and capability.
