Pakistan-China Joint Exercise "Shaheen VII - 2018"

Mirage is definitely the better looking of the two aircraft.

Capabilities are another matter given the generation gap between the two

This photo is from last Shaheen exe that took place in China..you can check related thread if you want confirmation @Dazzler

P.S I have visited Shorkot runway and it has no trees in background at either end and the only vegetation it has in abundance is KEEKAR (Acacia).

Also mirage in the picture is from Night Strike Eagles I think(Rafiqui based for sure) and Mirages takingt part at Bholari are from Masroor.

The exercise is taking place at an F-16 Base so who knows what's cooking.
All ADFs have moved to Masroor...so nothing's cooking

Which is where the strike element might be compensated for with J-10Cs.
My friend, Instead of the usual “PAF is this or that” from inexperienced and irrelevant people on this forum that you will hear such stuff; I have experienced in the industry and speak to people such as those currently heading the Southern command.
Did you know that less than 5 years ago the PAF did not have enough money to even pay interest on the loans(not the payments themselves) it has for the new platforms it bought?
Things have only marginally improved and such decisions go into purchasing. Not 5 year but 30 year plans to ensure relevancy of capacity and flexibility.

With such limited finances there is no luxury of investing into one trick airframes or bomb trucks which as such will end up having to jettison their loads to escape even basic interceptions or air defence assets.
There is a thing called Information Security... kindly respect what your friends tell you and dont go in public telling such stuff.

What stuff I pray tell?
Paucity of funds?

Just saw J10C being visited by Army chief. The jet looked gorgeous. How could we miss that beauty. If jets like A5 and F7 could be still operated by several Air forces why not there latest version.
