Pakistan can be leader in global Halal food market

Pakistan has bad relations with just India.

Pakistan and U.S. has had a longer friendship than India and U.S.

We will overcome our differences. You just worry about your 450 million indians living in severe poverty.

Don't worry, I worry about my fellow Indians & don't particularly care much what happens with you lot. Good luck with your overcoming.. However there a reason this forum exists & it is to voice our opinion. We aren't all going to voice your opinion no matter how much personally enamoured you are of it or how highly you rate it. Suggest you get used to it. If you want to discuss poverty, do so a thread related to it.If you don't like your assumptions questioned, maybe you should consider keeping your opinion to yourself.

My friend, if you knew about Pakistan's geography and Pakistan's soil you will know we are predominantly an agricultural country, and we have potential to export a lot of food to non-agricultural countries.

And we are happy other Muslim countries are prospering.

My friend, I am not saying Pakistan has no potential or a lot of potential. I am only opposing the idea that Pakistan, or any other Muslim country, should propose becoming the leader in any sector at the expense of other Muslim countries. For example, I have provided an article quoting an Iranian official that Iran is now ranked 17th at the end of 2011 according to SCOPUS in scientific ppublications and Turkey is ranked 19th. There was no mention of Iran leading the Muslim world or anything of that nature because for Iran to be the top country in the Muslim world, it must be the case that other Muslims are lagging behind. This attitude can cause animosity amongst fellow Muslims. That was the only point.

Otherwise, if you look into my posts, you would find I am glad at progress made by any Muslim countries.

I request Indians and others from derailing this thread. The "Halal food market" is not yet clearly defined in many countries and lack of regulations is also another important obstacle for many firms, but there are hundreds of billions or possibly, trillions of dollars worth of income in this sector.

The Muslims of Pakistan have an equal right to see economic prosperity just like every Muslim in the world. Just because Malaysia opened its halal products to the world doesn't mean that Pakistan can't.

In that case, if Saudis import oil to the world, then does that mean Iran should stop importing their oil to the world, so Saudi Muslims could prosper and they shouldn't?

Yes but exporting halal food to the world is very easy for Pakistan because there is nothing to tap as in coal and other natural resources. Pakistan has plenty of livestock. The halal food and agriculture industry can give Pakistan a relief from economic problems.

Well that is exactly my point bro. Why aren't we the leaders in this market already considering the fact it is so easy for us to become one?
