100% spot on! No one goes there for keeping world peace!! Such noble ideas are for the birds. It's all about the money - individual as well as the foreign exchange earned by the country.

And isn't it ironical that Pakistanis are sent to 'keep peace' abroad when there's no peace in their own country? Strange world we live in, what?

One could argue what good is the sparkle in shining India when it's breadbasket aka farmers are drinking ant-pesticide, when there are more telephones than toilets, the priorities are certainly in place.

I think Pakistan, India and Bangladesh contribute a huge numbers in UN peace keeping force.......

Indeed, for a long time it as been a way of making money for these less well funded militaries. You can see the wealthy nations contribute little in terms of manpower to the UN. For a long period of time India was the largest contributor to the UN peacekeeping force but India, like China, is slowly winding down its UN peacekeepers as is China, I believe Bangledesh and Pakistan have upscaled their operations (especially the former) and are now vying for the top spot.

US who are mostly based in Mid East are getting paid by the Government of Middle East for their services in their countries, similarly GOD knows how many wars KSA or other Mid East countries have been funding to US. KSA did try to fund US to go on war with Syria. So XYZ country is paying for their services & so is the US Govt. to their staff who are working in XYZ country.

If Pakistan is on a peace keeping mission mainly in Africa, UN is paying them for their services & so is Pak Govt. to its troop. As you have read PA has given lives to maintain peace in African countries, we have 136 of them recently. So you need to cut your crap & STFU. People like you are real threat to Pakistan because you can't defend Pakistan in any front. I am proud of my Army, unlike you who is not.

troops in blue helmets , while American soldiers
accounted for just 12.

The contributing countries continue to pay their
soldiers, but they get reimbursed by the United
Nations at a standard rate of $1,028 per month,
plus a few hundred dollars extra for specialists.

why majority soldiers are from developing south asian countries?? why China India start reducing numbers?? think about reality.. military job is primary a job for earning money.. but we respect that job because it demands extream bravery, patriotism, loyalty... will to give life for country..
every job is like that buddy.. food and money matters first but every jobs demands some qualities.. another example.. what about nursing??

You are getting to touchy.. If I get ban due to such petty reason, then I will assume "only Emotions are flowing in PDF." .... As a soldier the ultimate dream is to get Martyrdom..

We all will die. No death is better than being Martyr.. Unfortunately I couldn't get thru SSB else I could have been one sacrificing my life at Kargil war...
