Indian Army agrees to return body of Pak soldier killed in return fire after ceasefire violation in Naushera sector : India, News - India Today

The Indian Army on Friday acceded to a request of Pakistan Army's director general of military operation (DGMO) to return the body of a soldier killed in a counter-insurgency operation on Thursday night.

According to the Indian Army, the decision to return Pakistani soldier's body was taken during the DGMO-level between the two armies on Friday morning. The soldier was killed after India returned fire when Pakistani forces violated ceasefire by opening fire at Indian posts in Naushera sector along the Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday.

Briefing the developments at the DGMO meet, army spokesman Col Jagdeep Dahiya said there were two incidents of ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops around 3 pm.

"One individual crossed LoC along with a weapon and started firing on our troops. Our two soldiers were injured. That individual was shot dead. Pak DGMO requested to return the mortal remains of the soldier who crossed the LoC," Col Dahiya said.

"The second ceasefire violation took place in Krishna Ghati. The ceasefire violation was unprovoked. They fired for one hour on our troops. Our troops also fired in return, but in a controlled manner," he added.

There were repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops at the LoC early last month that had escalated tension along the border. Pak forces, joined by Lashkar-e-Toiba militants, had beheaded two Indian soldiers after ambushing a patrol party in Mendhar sector and taken away the head of one of the deceased.

The tension could be contained after diplomatic intervention and rounds of talks between the two armies.

TTP is already pissing in there shlawars..... because there real puppet master Americans are withdrawing from Afghanistan.... TTP is now more based in Afghanistan then Pakistan.... Last two year PA has done big operations against them and now they are shouting for peace negotiations in news papers..
