Pakistan Army has shot down an Indian Drone on LOC

Do you think the average citizen looks past the headline? News saturation has got to such intense levels that people just scan for headlines in the most part. For 50-75% of people who become aware of this news they will take away "Pakistan shot down an Indian drone". For the rest who read beyond it - the layman won't know the first thing about wether that drone is military hi-tech or not. The opinions on this forum are very specialised in that sense.

If it was only about average citizens falling for it then one can understand it. We see so-called educated pakistanis on these forums falling for it. @Zarvan guy is a poster child for their cause.

Pakistanis think this is news makes them look good? Are you serious, a Chinese toy easily purchased in a shop with an extremely noisy, limited range and ceiling laying on some grass is what now Pakistani Military hopes will rally its citizens and lend credibility?

One can understand some local cops putting this out, but you have the highest levels of Pak military posting this?

LOC is not exactly your Florida Beach where anyone can drive up and have fun.... it's one of the most militarized border in the world. Using such basic equipment has it's advantages, if it gets shot down, you can pretend to laugh and claim some kids playing a prank, else retrieve whatever info and claim a psychological victory.

I have a problem when you bring in the price tag.

A tomato thrown at it would bring it down. But our political elites have made them a delicacy.

Excellent rejoinder. This should shut up those ridiculing Pakistan Army for shooting down this drone. Previous drone showed faces of the individuals controlling the drone and also starting post where it took from.
