According to Wikipedia, these choppers can carry anti-tank missiles and torpedoes. I have a hard time seeing how, unless the co-pilot has to carry them in his lap and drop them on the target.

It may seem like that at first when you think about it, but the Lama is a descendant of the very first 'Operational' helicopter ever built, the H-13 'Sioux'. Which was mass produced and was recognized as the 'Bubble' helicopter all around the world.

It's purpose was to be used as an 'Observation' helicopter but later on, a flash of genius turned the H-13 into a 'Medical Rescue' helicopter for a while. With two medical evacuation panniers and acrylic glass shield on top to protect the patients, the H-13 was turned into a life saver. It was known as the 'Angel of death' by the American troops in the Korean War because often times an unconscious wounded soldier would regain consciousness in one of the panniers and wouldn't be able to figure out where he was. Which lead them to believe that they died and were now being transported to the 'Other side' :P

See picture below:

H-13 as a 'Medevac'

So anyway, the point is that if the 'Bubble' could carry two soldiers on each side during times of war, I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't be a problem for it to carry anti-submarine torpedoes or AT rockets after a little modification. Your idea about co-pilot carrying them torpedo's in his lap doesn't sound that bad though. That would be one fine cost-effective solution to that problem lol.
