Pakistan and the FMCT (Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty) - Conference on Disarmament

Why must we need to counter with US....its ur propoganda or what......as far ur Nukes are concerned they have yeild power of 5 to 9 Ton maximum as accepted by your scientists and even they there is no confirmation as your one atomic scientist already said on your media that it was bludder to make nation happy about the yeild power of Nukes explosions India did, they were not as much power as were described......

And as for Pakistnai nukes are concerned they have yeild power of 22 to 24 Ton described by Dr. Samar Mubarak Mand.:pakistan::pakistan::pakistan:

India should encourage pakistanis and international media to speak more like this,of pakistan having superior nuclear arsenal .it will reduce our trouble in getting more and more nuclear fuel to meet our energy and defence needs.

Wasn't somebody on this forum arguing that Pakistan has a bigger nuclear arsenal as well?
Why don't you ring up your that clueless minister of yours and tell him that. I'm sure once he comes to know that Pakistan has a larger and more effective arsenal, he will stop wailing about Indias nuclear arsenal.

. . .
same pakistan was going for deal with u.s according to indian deal with u.s.
and btw now where are the ppl who used to say, pakistan has bigger stockpile of fissile material.

Stockpiles and Atomic warheads are different things genius... also its diplomacy.

.
What is unfair advantage, look at the proliferation record of pakisatan and compare that with of India's. Isn't it unfair to India that Pakistan is getting FREE F-16's from US, everything is fair in war, right!

Comparison done, India took the lead and was the one who did the initial proliferation.

And by the way what has a few F-16s to do with fissile material or the discussion at hand ?? Plus, what these few F-16s are gonna do to the mighty IAF ?? So why afraid of just a few F-16s.

And who told you that they are free.

Thats a matter of concern since Pakistan is our enemy, and the matter of fact that Pakistan has enough fissile material to make enough fissile material to outrun India is a cause of concern for India.
But don't say its unfair, Pakistan is getting its share of military hardware regardless of its dire condition of its economy.

Pakistan has more nukes and fissile materials than India Lastupdate:- Tue, 3 Aug 2010 18:30:00 GMT GreaterKashmir.com

Well logically, how can one believe that Pakistan has more fissile material then India ?? Who has more nuke plants working to produce fissile material ?? Who started the program first ?? Who has more money, resources ?? Who has more technical capabilities, infrastructure ??

So, answer all these questions and may be you will find the answer that its to the contrary compared to the above link produced by you.

Hope you can understand, sometimes these statements are given to pursue some other course of action.

And the unfair talk is being done regarding the fissile material and the disarmament talks, not conventional means, so don't bring in conventional means.

The discussion is about the statement of Pak envoy, that we are at a disadvantage in the fissile material area due to the superior fissile material producing capability of India.

So have the discussion on this topic, no need to bring in conventional arms or F-16s as they have nothing to do with what the article is saying.

Well talking about fissile material India produces, 14 of the 22 nuclear reactors are under safeguard due to the N-deal with US. That leaves only 8 nuclear reactors for military purpose, it means India can't utilize all of its nuclear reactors to produce fissile material to serve it purpose.

Since Pakistan are getting nuclear reactors from China, where does the rise of concern comes for Pakistan.Currently Pakistan has only India to have deterrence against nukes, but India has China and Pakistan, so in this case India need to have enough fissile material to safegaurd its national securities against both the nation.

Well, plz do some reading before posting.

Chinese reactors are coming for electricity generation purpose and would be under IAEA safeguard and watch. So there is nothing to be concerned as they are gonna be under international watchdogs and we even have some under their supervision.

So now, Pakistan has at the most, 2-3 nuke reactors which are making fissile material, so now you can see the gap between the both and who can be producing more fissile material.

But like i said before India does not have only Pakistan to face, there's far more powerful neighbor in north which is getting aggressive day by day. So India having superior fissile material is justified to the number of enemies its facing and the type.

Well, Pakistan is also then facing one huge enemy, India needs just at the most 10 nukes to take care of Pakistan, while for Pakistan, it may well take about 2 dozen to damage India.

So, just like Indian concern about a bigger enemy is used as justification, we also have the justification of a bigger enemy.

.
Similarly China is a bigger country and a bigger enemy, then that thing has to be kept in mind, since Pakistan knows it clearly, it should have India's concern in mind too.

And also India's 'no first use policy' is a blessing for Pakistan. It would be entirely upto Pakistan to start a nuclear conflict or not. So as long as Pakistan doesn't use nukes , they wont have to worry about getting hit by India.
That policy is a disadvantage to 'India'. So if Pakistan has to strike first, it would definitely strike at strategic places to take the advantage, if it does sucessfully evade India's anti-ballistic missiles. So its 1-1.
