Pakistan air force efforts commendable – SL air force

Air chief Marshall Roshan Gunathilake praised the efforts and support given by the Pakistan air force during the war against LTTE.

He said Pakistan air force provided technical expertise, ammunition and immensely cooperated with the SL air force during the war.

He further added Srilanka was willing to share their experience with Pakistan on the recently completed war against the LTTE.

While ago LTTE commander said, We know its not SriLankan pilots. Since last two years attacks were very well planned and precise.

The Sri Lankan pilots are nice but they do not have rigourous training program nor practice area's. Hitting that hard without huge destruction is not possible without technology and pilots from ouside. Mig27 is surely not armed with PGM. Same goes for Kfir and F7g's... So how did they do it?

Please only post on the Sri Lankan AF's capabilities, operations against the LTTE and Pakistani support.

We had instructors there. The SLAF took the lessons well and took care of business. POF and AWC had a considerable part to play in the re-equipping of the SLAF and Army.

Using of precision weapons by SLA, POF is making precision air weapon for PAF and for export purpose ?. I know for sure, west sell Pak these weapons with full audit control and don't know about chinese, if there air weapon mature enough. Exclude the free falls...

during 1971 war only srilanka provided us logistics and refueling facility they ignored indian pressure, after this india created LTTE to take revenge..... anyway they won war against LTTE dats gr8...

the sri lankans had been at war for over two decades. even a rag tag force can change into a very professional force in that time. the sri lankans could have easily done that themselves after enough training. they have been pretty desperate to get better for over 2 decades now. and they are very very good now.
