Ask your Pakistani airforce members about the F-104. They'd tell you how impressive that jet was. That was the only jet the Indian airforce on paper actually feared. I've read a few reports on them. Anyway, there is absolutely no comparison between the F-104 and F-35. In fact, there is no comparison between F-35 and any other plane on the planet outside of the F-22 (also American).

Those who have been watching F-35 related developments carefully, are aware of the fact that F-35 is not lacking in close-quarters maneuverability, thrust and power. Keep in mind that spread of disinformation can be/has been deliberate.
