Notice the long gun barrel that is again 57mm Anti air craft gun, it was shown this and last year in Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar on "defence day shows".

I know this pictures are old but this air defence countermeasures are still part of all Pakistani Land Forces, and thats the point ! When the enemy aircraft did past the PAF, the long range SAM and even the close air defence than using the MG-3 or the 12.7mm AA Gun in air defence role is the last option and a must to survive !


For those who cant believe, even the German Bundeswehr has this last "air defence countermeasures " in the training programm for all serving Soldiers, follow the Link you can see it in the Video and the pictures here:

Pakistan has automated 35mm AA Gun system TV IR but at moment this system is not coupled with Radar.

I was going to say the SAME. By looking at these pictures of WWII crap, it feels like anyone flying at 20,000 feet can fly through Pakistan without a harm.

We never declare out real capabilities but rest assured we have really good SAM systems and more from different countries are coming

I am VERY well aware of what Pakistan has. But showing something like a couple of SPADA and HQ6 and 9 pictures would've been nice, it would bring the thread to 2015, vs. 1980's stuff we are seeing

WoW the pictures on Page 1 and the pictures in the last few years there is a huge contrast of just the basic uniform and the modernisation to bring AA into electronic realm. Some ways if the current military ops had not taken place things would never have been modernised!
