Well they did try it several times but the consequences for them were disastrous.... as for this mandokhail guy... he should know tht half his tribe lives in baluchistan and the other half is also having Pakistani NICs though they live in afghanistan... and are into smuggling big time..

It is gift of british to both Afghanistan and Pakistan, the durand line...A tribe of pakhtuns is not a caste, it is one huge family...tribal affiliation and tribal nationalism is much stronger than even sense of ethnic identity...the problem with durand line is that tribes like achakzais, kakars, wazirs, shinwaris , mohamands etc lie on both sides of border and their deep interaction with each other makes the durand line meaningless.

The Pak-Afghan border is huge strain on Pakistan's economy as well as security, in its current state it has zero value (rather values in negative ) for Pakistan
We'll either have demarcate the border clearly or if majority in those regions oppose it then these areas should be removed from Pakistan
Borders have to be such that they are defendable, in its current state unfortunately the pak-afghan border is not defendable, so either we’ll have to move further out or move further back
The 'unpaid tribal defenders of Pakistan' from the tribal areas are no good, we've seen over the past decade what kind of treacherous murderous enmity they have against Pakistan
