Judging from the expectations people have with Pakistan reigning in on terrorists, it seems like everybody else thinks Pakistan is some sort of old western flick where the sheriff just goes around shooting people.

We are struggling so hard to enforce rule of law, and then here we have people passing off such absolute statements who work for the Pentagon and then giving press briefings about their statements which have no basis in established fact.

No I mean, is it the job of your judiciary to go around catching people?

No, as far as my understanding of this world goes that the judicial branch of the government tries people on charges of terrorism and if found guilty instructs the institutions operating under the executive branch of the government to jail them.

Now the question of incompetence of our judiciary or yours comes into play when a decision has been made contrary to the evidence presented in court.

Defence.pk is a media website, if I declare tomorrow that Manas is a terrorist, should someone come and shoot you?

If India is half a constitutional country it will follow the norm of every man is innocent until proven guilty in the court of law. You will be tried, evidence will be presented against you and then either a judge, a panel of judges or a competent jury will find you guilty or not guilty and then your sentencing will be carried out.

That is the process in Pakistan. Have you done that before making such statements?
