Pak Retains Terrorists in Reserve Against Indian Influence In Afg: US Def Int Chief Vincent Stewart

If you had serious muscle in economics or military power than your stance will sound credible.

But your the weakest power in this game by a factor of eight to one .

You have no influence or ability to force your will or desire .

The law is with the mighty not those that shout the loudest
just wait and see, be patient my friend action speaks louder then talk, talibans are not going anywhere they are here to stay, they have plenty of time , money and ammunition, they can wait for 10 , 20 , 50 more years but US will not

Indian influence in Afghanistan is unacceptable to Pakistan. as simple as that. If Americans were less arrogant and understand they can not change the world according to their whims and wishes they will understand the fact that to be good friends to Pakistan they have to fulfill this requirement. This is our red line

why should that matter to anyone else? India, Afghanistan and the USA can do whatever they please among themselves. Pak may protest but when they go beyond that and 'retain terrorists' is when they get slammed for state sponsored terrorism charge. To be respected as a responsible state, you should behave as one

You cant correct some people. Because that is what they taught in their history.
Look at his words and there was a thread about this in PDF.
Like that UAE minister said India is India and Pakistan is Pakistan.
You cant compare both .Our western neighbourers want that our policies should only formulate according to their so called sensitivities .They want others to treat them as same as India.
It is like we are asking the world to consider India same as that of US .Something that is never going to happen.
They dont want India in Afghanistan because that creates some imaginary threat

Yes, it is quite bizarre not to understand ground realities and insist on equal treatment. There is a high table in international order on which India does not currently sit, and would be stupid to expect that India will be allowed to sit on it by mere insistence. If and when the time is right, the world will accord us that stature on its own.

Look at China for instance. The world is not in love with China. It just so happens that they have trade and investment relations that are growing all the time and so their clout grows with it. It is a natural process. Nothing India says will affect that, unless the Chinese botch it up themselves.

Same applies to India's and Pakistan's relations with the world. A couple of military exercises or summit declarations here and there is not what shows the health of our relationship with other countries. What is important is trade and investment and maybe defence ties. If we have something to sell, or the money to buy, the world is interested in us, otherwise no one gives a damn. Insisting on equal treatment is nothing but an exercise in ego management and is bound to fail if not backed with economic heft.

The reason Pakistan security establishment is so paranoid about India's presence in Afghanistan is because of their "strategic depth" issues. Apparently the plan is that in case of war with India, in case they are overrun, Afghanistan serves as fall back. It is a fictional scenario and yet dictates their entire policy.

According to Pakistan, it is okay to vitiate the entire environment in South Asia for some fictional strategic depth concerns, but if India opposes CPEC that does happen to include disputed territory then we are just cry-babies. As they say, you can't reason with crazy, and you can't argue with stupid.
