Why pakistan is not working or at least planning to buy any nuclear powered submarine?This is not good,it feels like they are sleeping,its very important to have nuclear triad,and so far i have not seen any progress regarding nuclear submarine,can anyone learned tell me why or correct me if i am wrong?

First of all there are quite a few rumors that we are working on it.

Secondly, our nuclear Triad is close to completion with the SLCM(Babur3) tested earlier this year. With the close proximity of our intended target, a diesel powered submarine will be as effective a second-strike option as a nuclear submarine and we are buying 8 of them from China. So nuclear Triad will be soon completed and we will get an assured second-strike capability.

Maybe in a few years when this technology becomes second string tech for the PLA Navy; Pakistan could do a ten year Lease. What Pakistan should be working on in the interim is a missile that can fit in the tubes of the CJ-10 (same length and diameter) that is a conventional SLBM; with a range of at least 1000 km; that would be a decent second strike force; 12 SLBM with a 1000 km range itself; the missiles will be expensive as they will be carbon fiber casing and modern propellant; but they will be a truly scary deterrent when coupled with a type 093G which has the range and speed to hide anywhere from the coast of east Africa to straits of Malacca and still hold Indian forces in their cross hairs

Enough space for 12 CJ-10 Cruise Missiles with a range of 1500 km

PN will have some thing which is customized version of Nuke sub but derived from local expertise without Chinese help , already there are design work on miniaturized nuke reactor is underway (hint we have been operating nuke reactor without support of OEM for 50 years i guess so hell we can design one . Only issue with SLCM is range as more range will need bigger CM and in conventional subs it will be a big challenge lets see how 8 subs specially the last 4 will have greater significance off course these are rumors

we have Experience with Agosta' Submarine ,and with Chinese Possible S-26 Subs coming we will absorb more Technology , and there are rumors that some ( Brotherly ) nation is helping Pakistan with this Project ..
