Kupwara (Trehgam), Oct 1: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Srinagar based Chinar Corps, Lieutenant General S A Hasnain, on Saturday said there has been no change in Pakistan’s Kashmir policy.

“Army soldiers deployed on the Line of Control (LoC) in Machil sector foiled a major infiltration bid by killing five militants and by capturing one of them alive. The arrested LeT militant, Nissar Ahmed, of Karachi during the preliminary interrogation revealed that he was initially trained at a LeT training facility at Manshera,” a defence spokesman quoted the GOC as having said.
“Pakistan setting up the militant infrastructure in Pakistani hinterland and PaK is aimed at spreading violence to disrupt peace and harmony in Kashmir, as a part of their overall Kashmir Policy,”
he alleged.

The arrested militant, according to the GOC, confirmed that seven members of the group were selected for infiltration into Kashmir through Machil sector. “They were provided with arms, ammunition and were moved forward to a launch pad in the vicinity of a Pakistan Army Post. They were given enough money and foodstuff/eatables for their survival. While infiltrating they had an encounter with soldiers during this gunfight he fell into a nallah and surrendered after getting surrounded,” the GOC said.

Meanwhile, the GOC paid glowing tributes to Lieutenant Sushil Khajuria of ASC attached with 18 Grenadiers, who died during an encounter with militants in Machil sector earlier this week.

By the way, for the knowledge of Pakistanis - the GOC is a Muslim officer of the rank of Lieutenant General in the Indian Army and presently commands an Army Corps in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Well India's stand is the same.

We are willing to offer you the part which you have while we keep the one we have and declare the LoC as international border.

Lap it upp before the offer expires. ;)

As far as we believe, we would be happy to have LOC & LAC as International Border. But for that, all three parties should come together and have joint statement. It is not possible to have statement first by us.

India spends 1.8% of its GDP on defense which is equal to 36,030,000,000

Pak spends 2.8% of its GDP on defense which is equal to 6,410,000,000

With our economy growing the way it is growin the ratio will only increase plus Pak is not really a threat conventionally - it is China
