Real potential of Indo-pak trade is approx. 40 billion dollars according to WB.
So, both the governments must take appropriate step to boost trade and commerce, It will have a very positive influential effect on the peace process of both countries.
Though It is true, India need a few countries where it needs to emerge as trade surplus and pakistan is one of those.
Hope pakistan gives us MNF soon.

Pak, India trade volume climbs to $2.5bn
ISLAMABAD -

Pak-India Join Business Council Chairman Noor Ahmad Kasuri while emphasising the trade relations improvement discussed in the 5th meeting of Pak-India secretaries of commerce level meeting said that the current trade volume is touching $ 2.5 billion.



Talking to media, he said that Pakistan and India had to sustain loss due to the two wars, which they fought in the past.



On this occasion, Economist Kashif Mustafa said that it is in the interest of Pakistan and India to make trade dialogues positive and conclusive.



He said due to the geographical location, Pakistan and India have the potential to improve mutual trade which would boost the economic conditions of both countries.



Kashif Mustafa further stated that whenever the trade dialogue between both countries gets momentum, other core issues will get resolved.

all is rubbish in this trade indians r getting a lions share......the trade balance is very negative....Tomorrow they will use this money of ours to make their defence budget and will buy the weapons from our money to be used upon us.

This all drama of trade should stop.......Peace without strength is peace with no meaning.

I dont think it will increase that much because hindus hatered of Pakistanis isn't going anywhere anytime soon. They wont allow Pakistani products to sell in India. While Pakistanis will buy anything without thinking where it comes from. Which mean Pakistani goverment will continue to ban Bharatis products. And i doubt trade via Dubai is $10 billion lol

At one time you couldn't come near french and Germans border without few 1000 holes in your body and now you can dance on the border and just look like nut job without the fear of every getting shot.

For every nut job on both side who wants to fight the other side, i bet you there are 1000s who want peace and prosperity and rather trade flowers and goods every day then bullets.

Every billion dollars investment creates 4500 good paying and 100s other support jobs.Because of the trade when jobs are created most people will rather work then pick up a gun.

Difference between Germans and us is our big fat ego. Anyways let us hope for the best.
