Pak Army is aghast at the defamatory and uncalled for statement about the senior leadership of Pakistan Army by Chairman PTI: ISPR

Lagey raho Khan saab....I guess one day, IK would look at Nawaz and see his own reflection, the way he is going down that rabbit hole of lust for power...

Well if he were hungry for power he could have easily retained the PM seat by becoming the boot polisher like Shahbaz but he chose dignity and interest of the nation against the interest of corrupt generals and politicians.

Aghast I tell you, aghast! :P

On a serious note:

1- Multiple statements by PDM leaders on this issue. Tab to koi aghast nhn hota tha? Tab to Athar Minallah sahab ko dil ka daura nhn parta tha. All was fine and dandy. And they said much more scathing things directly at the leadership.

2- The statement to me (and how I saw it at first as well), was that N league always wants an army chief of their own choosing who will do their bidding. And who the heck in their right mind denies that? N has always wanted that. This seemed more like a critique of N league than of the military to me.

3- Khurram Dastagir and Javed Latif have publicly said that if IK was PM past November, things would have been really bad for them and they would be in jail.

4- ISPR ko aaj kal kuch zyada hi shauq nhn ho gaya of getting embroiled in storms in tea cups? Fuzool main apni pesh kartay phirtay hain.

5- For all the shenanigans the fooooj does, and all the maneuvering it does, it should honestly develop a thick skin and be open to criticism (if this was directed at them). Thori si apni ego aur anaa kam karain aur sunain agla kia kehta hai. There's a saying, utna hi karo jitna bardasht kar saktay ho. Agr kisi ki koi bhi baat bardasht nhn hoti to phir pehle keeray bhi nhn karnay thay.

It is great that IK has staked his position firmly. The problem I see is his endgame. Where does he see this approach leading towards?

Getting enough popular support so that any establishment backed action does not bear fruit.

Nawaz Sharif hoped for the same, but he never had the popular support.

220 million Pakistanis have chosen Imran Khan as their leader.

Imran Khan is rightly questioning the merits of appointment.

There cannot be anymore extensions.

General Faiz Hameed must be the next COAS based on seniority and his services allowing peaceful NATO withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Enough Now Listen very carefully, this time Army generals will have to face the music. Ghalti phir os per hatdharmi ab moqa khatam.

Word of the day ‘aghast’.

DG ISPR bhai, why are you getting so worked up? Seems all these years of training and your PR skills are slightly above 0. In this environment when your institution is taking a beating, it’s better your footprint remains close to 0.

Coming to aghast, the public is beyond aghast at your actions and bringing crooks and your past history of treating the constitution like a tissue paper.

I understand the situation is unprecedented and that you’ve never experienced before and wasn’t part of the Sandhurst training syllabus. But understand this, this situation is your own doing. The public still regards the army with great respect, but the higher command decisions have gone completely opposite of the interests of the country.

Bada aaya aghast karne.

This holds true for the judiciary too.

Legal proceedings main judges ko political remarks aur populist remarks dene ka bara shauq hai, magr in kay khilaf koi bolay to fauran contempt.

If you play with fire, be ready to get burnt.

Pak Army is aghast at the defamatory and uncalled for statement about the senior leadership of Pakistan Army by Chairman PTI during a political rally at Faisalabad.

Regrettably, an attempt has been made to discredit and undermine senior leadership of Pakistan Army at a time when the institute is laying lives for the security and safety of the people of Pakistan every day.

Senior politicians trying to stir controversies on appointment of COAS of Pakistan Army, the procedure for which is well defined in the constitution, is most unfortunate and disappointing.

Senior leadership of Army has decades long impeccable meritorious service to prove its patriotic and professional credentials beyond any doubt.

Politicizing the senior leadership of Pakistan Army and scandalizing the process of selection of COAS is neither in the interest of the state of Pakistan nor of the institution. Pakistan Army reiterates its commitment to uphold the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

The ISPR further stated that senior politicians trying to stir “controversies” on the appointment of the military’s chief of army staff (COAS) is “most unfortunate and disappointing”.

It added that the procedure for COAS’s appointment is well-defined in the Constitution.

“Senior leadership of the army has decades-long impeccable meritorious service to prove its patriotic and professional credentials beyond any doubt,” the ISPR said, adding that politicising the senior leadership of the institution and scandalising the process of COAS’s selection is neither in the interest of the state of Pakistan nor of the institution.

“Pakistan Army reiterates its commitment to uphold the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” the military’s media wing said.

Why Army showing this uncalled for reaction? Any Clarification should could come from secretary MOD. ISPR statement is thoroughly political and provocative. They are in politics uptil their noses and making an attempt to divert attention from their illegal, unconstitutional role in RCO and politics.
It won't clear their soiled reputation.
No Defence Day can clear what they have put upon the country and nation.
Are they bigger than, Pakistan, Law, and Constitution????

Pakistani nation was aghast when the people who they supported on every step against the enemies, fought all the social media war for free, made them strong, defeated their enemies, and what did they do? They joined hand with the enemies and regime changed for them, made the country suffer, abducted patriotic Pakistanis, tortured Patriotic Journalists, tortured Patriotic politicians, abducted women, raided houses at night, shelled women and children, even abducted a women and her baby.

PDM also strongly condemns Imran Khan's anti-army statements.
05 September,2022 02:35 pm
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Dr. Arif Alvi on Monday said that all soldiers including Chief of Army Staff (COAS) are patriots.

President, a day after controversial statement of former prime minister Imran Khan, said that Pakistan Army is busy in helping flood affectees of the country and no one can question patriotism of the army or anyone else.

However, Dr. Arif Alvi said that he remains in contact Imran Khan through WhatsApp. The former premier himself can only clarify his statement.

Earlier, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) strongly condemned anti-army statements of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

The multi-party alliance, in a joint statement said that respect of leadership of all state institutions will be ensured and elements which are conspiring to weaken the country will be dealt with as per law.

PDM said that Imran Khan tried to make sensitive professional matters of armed forces controversial. Entire nation is battling with floods but egoistic Imran Khan is trying to drive a wedge between armed forces and the masses.

The alliance further said that the country cannot be left at mercy of an arrogant and fascist man.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also strongly denounced statements of PTI Chairman Imran Khan against state institutions.

In a statement, he said Imran Khan’s highly condemnable campaign of defaming institutions and spreading hatred against them is reaching a new extreme every day.

The Prime Minister regretted that the PTI Chairman is now directly resorting to mudslinging and toxic allegations against the armed forces and its leadership on sensitive professional matters.

Imran Khan’s agenda is to stoke anarchy and weaken the country, the premier said.

On the other hand, former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) president Asif Ali Zardari said that Imran Khan is maligning the state institutions.

Zardari in his statement said that the entire nation knows by now who is the real Fitna (evil) of this country.

The PPP leader said that his speech exposed him before the nation. He also lambasted the PTI for staging public rallies when the entire nation is trying to help flood victims.

“This man is determined to weaken the country, but we won’t let that happen,” he alleged, vowing that the government won’t let the state institutions and generals fall prey to Imran’s “lust”.

Imran Khan and Rahul Gandhi always find the same opponent, same organisation to blame for their own failures

^that article and Imran/Pakistan aside, but just about Raul.... he says the dumbest, most impulsive, most ill thought out all the time.. such a cringe duffer, special needs retard...

pitch dekh ke na khelo, bas har ball chakka, kyonki bolling Papa Tau kar rahe hai, and fielding p mummy cocktail p rahi hain

Anyway, Imran Khan of Pakistan is probably not nearly as bad as Raul from India is, but there are some disturbing similarities in the rather dumb way they seem to be going about their politics.

For Pakistan.. most likely military lamba tuk-tuk game khalaygi, play out time and this tough spell.. aaj ni to, 6 months m, 8 m.. awaam thak jayegi when no results.. to borrow some from our Legend..

ki aik din, the once exiled king will be welcomed back and will celebrate Diwali after slaying the X and rescuing the Mulk.

India kya soch rahi ? .. chalo border paar unki Milrty aa gi fir se (known qty etc)

Don't despair but, you guize.. "Democracy" isn't everything.. just ask your Iron bros.. they'll tell you outright just how much it sucks.

Bilawal Zardari is our Rahul Ghandi. Imran Khan is nothing like Rahul. I could be wrong
, but I dont think Indian politics has anyone comparable to IK. A self made, nationalist and anti corruption, charismatic leader who has the majority vote on his side.
