Pak Army Firing Drill | Tactical Combat Drill

the example of sampling with rest of society becomes irrelevant.
Do you think a British COAS could pull what Musharaf did at Kargil?

  • Launch a tactically sound but strategically dumb attack on Kargil?
  • Launch a attack with informing the airforce or navy?
  • Then denying the dead as PA soldiers?
  • Then get involved in a bitchfest when shit hit the fan with the PM.
  • Then take over the country on grounds of "extenuating".
  • But then rule for ten years pushing the definition of "extenuating".
  • Then come out the "commando hero?

All this is "desi" culture 101 my friend. You cannot isolate from wider society in a hermetically sealed can.

Good you gave the example yourself to see how a soldier (musharraf) and a civilian (NS) conducted in this scenario. It proves my point, you cannot sample military and civilians together, they are very different.

You do know I consider Musharaf to have done more damage to Pakistan then NS. I don't have time to go why I think that other trhan that Musharaf became the biggest boot polisher of US then any other leader I can think off. For a few billion dollars that gave a transient look of a boom in Pakistan for 4 odd years.

Worse the reason that he stormed PM house was "extenuating". Meaning NS. But the entire raison d'état for the extra-constitutional act was abject failure. The urchin NS came back even stronger.

Mate, you are going off topic now. I am not interested in a Musharraf Vs Nawaz or kargil debate, that has been debated to death many times on PDF. However, thanks for quoting the example yourself for my point.

I gotta be honest with you guys this seems like a one off guy, I know our boys r not As "Tactical" as the Us marines etc but training r being conducted to get them to that point for example watch this video:

How so....???
Our soldier training is still substandard when compared to many western militaries. Battle tactics and training have improved especially mountain warfare, thanks to combat in FATA region but overall, they still lack a lot.

Unlimited cheat heyheyheyhey @Path-Finder u are just hilarious.
US soldiers also like to talk a lot of shit and have unlimited ammo cheat enabled.

The military culture and values are very different from civilian establishment.
When a cadet or a recruit enters a military institution, his whole psyche is changed by breaking his personality and then making it again, according to military standards. The way he then conducts himself, performs tasks, carries out orders and spends the rest of his life living through discipline and making decisions through mental toughness instilled in him by the military, will always stand out from the civilians. Because the psyche and way of life change after training, the example of sampling with rest of society becomes irrelevant.
Beef processed in a cannery for longer term storage or cooked fresh will still carry the same initial nutritional capacities and detriments.
It is still the same crop, the same tendency for shortcuts and the same tendency for corrruption.
No amount of drilling or breaking can remove it.

. . . . . .
Nope
Their leadership is the issue and the Namak haram Afghanis as well.
Moreover, its the question of motivation.
The first five years the US army beat the hell out of the Taliban and killed hundreds for each on lost; because they came to avenge 9/11.

But once that died down, and the whole “rebuild” drama started then the purpose diluted and motivation dropped.

We were losing badly with lots in all operations until 2010. The ttp would just escape and leave us with a pile of casualties. ThT is because the nation wasn’t motivated and thought the TTP as lost brothers, the training did not exist as our troops were still plain straight battlefield shooters.
It wasnt until APS that the blood really got into the eyes of the troops and the nation.

Post capitulation, the Taliban were a force in retreat, trying to regroup and rearm. The massacres in the early 2000s show overwhelming firepower, not good marksmanship. That said, many confrontations were carried out by special forces. Finally, the Taliban had a lot of experience - fighting against the Northern Alliance. Since then, they have clued up, they understand the strength and weaknesses of the Americans, and it is a matter of utter shame that illiterate villagers are taking on the most powerful army in the world and causing a stalemate. If the rag tag Taliban can do it, so can we. We simply need the right motivation, and the right training facilities. And this goes back to proper leadership. If our mindset is to consider India as our sole enemy, then we will never be the best. If we adopt the mindset of excelling to the point where we are able to take on the best in the world in terms of excellence in skills and strategy, then there is no reason why we can't become better than the Americans.

Agreed. I attribute it to Pakistaniat. Search for my thread on the topic.

Yes, R1 was painful to carry. It was a huge relief once R4/Galil came in to replace!. What a dream machine.
