PAF to participate in Int’l aviation and aerospace exhibition next month



BEIJING , Oct 13 (APP): Pakistan Air Force (PAF) will participate for the first time in an international aviation and aerospace exhibition being held in China next month.

Addressing a press conference to brief about the salient features of the 8th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition to be held in Zhuhai, in Guangdong province the Deputy Secretary General of the provincial government Mr. Lin Ying who is also member of the standing Committee of the air show along with other senior officials said that an aerobatic team of Pakistan Air Force “Sherdils” will demonstrate their acrobatic skill at the Air show.

He further said that besides performance of Sherdils, the Pak, China jointly produced fighter aircraft JF-17 also known as “Thunder” fighter will also participate in the exhibition in which world famous aircraft manufacturers including Boeing, Airbus, Rolls-Royce and Rosoboron export besides Chinese manufacturers would also show case their products.

The Air and Technical attaches at Pakistan Embassy attended the press conference.

In an informal talk with the Vice-Mayor Chen Ying, the Air Attach said that PAF is ensuring maximum participation in the Air show and Chief of Air Staff of PAF will be attending the ceremony in Zhuhai.

This is for the first time, that China made K-8 aircraft and JF-17 Thunder fighter, a co-production of Pakistan and China will be the flying in the Air show, he said.

The Vice-Mayor Chen Ying said on the occasion that he was extremely happy to say that PAF is taking part in the exhibition in a big a way. “This demonstrates Sino-Pak strong friendship in all dimensions”, he observed.

JF-17 Thunder, Sherdils to participate

ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) contingent comprising JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft and the ‘Sherdils’ formation aerobatics team, along with pilots and technicians, departed for China to participate in the forthcoming eight International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai from November 16 till November 21.

The PAF Sherdils formation aerobatics team comprising nine K-8 aircraft will perform an aerial display during the air show. This is for the first time that a PAF Sherdil formation aerobatic team will perform in any international event of this stature.

Three indigenously manufactured JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft would also be on aerial/static display at the exhibition. World famous exhibitors like Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell, Rolls-Royce etc will also be participating in the exhibition. The Red Eagles Aerobatic team from the US and the ASB aerobatic team from the UK have also confirmed their participation in the exhibition.

PAF related event will be:
JF-17 Participation
PAF have send three JFT aircrafts to Zuhai to take part in air show.
while one will be for static display, two will be used in fly past.
this will be the first time that the China-Pakistan jointly produced JF-17 Thunder will see flying action in an international event. Earlier JFT did participated in Franbrough airshow but it was static display only.

Pakistan and china are actively marketing the JF-17 to attract a number of customers and this show will just be the right thing. PAF Sherdils will serve the toppings for the show.

KJ-200:
KJ-200, the AWE&C platform will also debut there first major international event.
PAF is intrested in accquiring the system to support already inducted Erieye from Sweden.

Pakistan Air Force aerobatic team
In another development, the Pakistan Air Force aerobatic team Sherdil is set to stage thrilling maneuvers at Airshow China 2010 in the format of 9 K-8 trainers-an advanced military aircraft jointly developed by China and Pakistan.

moreover there is slightest of chances that we may see FC-20! (very unlikely)

all in all, the show have a lot on offer and will be a great event, Inshalla!
