PAF has requested for an increase of 1.5 billion dollar in the budget.

F-16's will stay till 2028-29

The real need is to replace Mirages now JF-17 will replace F-7P's

no need of more F-16 because F-16 BVR is equal to JF-17 block II . so SU-35 is coming for sure !

Second hand Eurofighter Tranche 1 and 2s ? cause many countries are selling there old Eurofighters .... :partay:
That makes zero sense.

We don't operate eurofighters, why would we buy old ones?

there will be no aircraft for sure maybe order of missiles or something to do with PAF city programe in KPK

In my humble opinion, if Pakistan is looking to purchase a new aircraft quality should be one of many criteria not the sole criteria. We do not want an aircraft that leaves us stranded in times of conflict. So how sanction proof the aircraft is is very important. Better to have a decent fighter that is continuously available than a really good one sitting on the tarmac because the manufacturing country wont sell us spare parts anymore.
We should also be looking at the amount of technology transfer and bespoke additions we can make to it without too much hassle and how easy and cost effective future upgrades are.
This is why I think we should go Chinese whatever we buy. When China deal with Pakistan they deal with us differently to the rest of the world. We are afterall their 'Israel'. Why look a gift horse jn the mouth. Take it an run with it. We have to plan for the next 3 or 4 decades not a quick fix solution. Pressler taught us a lot.

Foreign reliance is always a problem. Even with a close ally.
