PAF Deploys to Northern Territories

Hi,

Just a " Chalak " answer---.

Hi,

The J10 took time because it was the first major project for a modern aircraft---.

The JF17 is based on the enineering that the chinese learfnt from building the J10---. Use your brains youngman---.

There are too many civilians in the J10 production---actually all civilians---.

JF17 is a Paf project---and Paf is a known LIAR---.

In that case, take your own advice. If JF-17 took from the J-10, then it not behind it in development either. So in future, don't go on harping how great it wouldve been for PAF to have had ordered an immature and defective product.

EDIT: I have edited my post to remove personal comments.

@MastanKhan I apologize for the earlier personal comments that I had posted.

If you really want to argue, try not to downplay Chinese technology too much. Rational people understand that the first version of a product has many aspects that could be improved. And cautious buyers withold purchase until the initial rough edges have been smoothed over. If a product is almost similar to what you already have, and brings new infrastructure and maintenance costs, you hold back.

The reality is, we have a technology waterfall happening: J-20 -> J-10 -> JF-17. With Block 3, the argument for J-10 will die it's own natural death.

If he gets too much out of hand, report him and move on.

Look, this guy has an insidious agenda. Even if he thinks that J-10 is the most useless aircraft in the world, he will still write about PAF's treason, so ordinary Pakistanis can start writing critical words about the products of their allies. He kills two birds with one stone: he gets the enjoyment of bad mouthing PAF, and he gets the enjoyment of watching Pakistanis slag off Chinese technology. He belongs to the same clique as Hussain Haqqani.

I have no qualms about calling a spade a spade. J-10A was the first Chinese aircraft in the 4rd generation category with FBW, new gen engines and a host of new technologies etc, so it served as a test bed and immature in its development. PAF actually took a smarter approach in utilizing the experience the Chinese gained from their mishaps with the J-10 and got a product that delivered exactly what was needed in a much faster time frame, as is evident in the JF-17 development. However, most of the argument I've seen from him and others that like to harp on the PAF not buying that version first stem from the time when it was the only version available. The Chinese have obviously moved on and improved and sorted out the issues with the latest variant. But there is still a fallacy in his arguments and when his logic fails him, he hides behind his age and calling everyone "young man" as if somehow that shields him from criticism.
I bet you, had the PAF ordered the J-10A, today we would see him writing about how the corrupt and traitorous PAF wasted taxpayers money on a bad aircraft and lined their own pockets instead of developing the aeronautical industry in Pakistan.

They must have realised that the JF-17 is not good enough for their Air Force.
PAF declined both the Flanker and Fulcrum in the 90s and J-10 more recently....what do you have to say about that genius.

And what do you think the reason might be?? Either those were really bad birds or JF-17 is far too superior than them, huh??
Not what PAF wants.. simple as that.. Maybe PAF is eyeing on spending money on a more superior aircraft.. such as J-31?

Let me make it easy for you.....PAF also declined both the MiG-21 and SU-7 when offered by Soviet Union in 1968 but then PAF went on to induct MiG-21 derivative the F-7 twenty years later.
Each country has it's own operational requirements and doctrines, an aircraft suitable for one country may not fulfil the needs of another.....simple maths really which even you should pick up.

LOL, The Soviets, read it clearly THE SOVIETS not Russia offered Pakistan MIG-21 and SU-7, huh??

Well do you have any credible source to back your claims ??

But I'm pretty sure that the Soviets would have made such an offer, that too only few years after the controversial "1960 U-2 incident" incident. LOL :lol::lol:

That sounds more realistic than the claims made by your friend. :enjoy:

Are you trying to grow a brain.
Read again very slowly, i said Soviet Union.....no where the name Russia is mentioned..:pleasantry:..In case you come up with more crackers, the old name was USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics).

Yea, when the Soviet Premier Kosygin paid a visit to Pakistan on 17 April 1968, he must have missed a genius adviser like you to remind him of the U-2 incident.

How many people here thinks JF-17 (current , don't bring future block III or what ever) can take down SU-30 of IAF (In future RAFs)??????????????
And how many of you think PAF can replace or should replace Mirages(delta wing) with Light Weight JF-17 ????

Having only JF-17 will be suicidal !!!!!!!(check history) . . Better to replace Mirages with J-10 or any heavy twin engine .

Edit: Few years back a very fine young man (engineer) told me one thing with joy and tears in his eyes " Uncle we have a very nice an good bird in our hands we will build 200 of them to replace A-5s and F-6s and some old F-7s" . . And then he talked about what our birds can and cannot do.
I don't know what is changed now , but I will trust his words more then any ACM of the day.

What if or what not, but one thing is for sure. One of India's adversaries just become a missile (air) force (Air will be gone) after yesterday's Indo-Russian deal since there very little to no chance of escape for fighter plains from S-400 umbrella. They can forget thinking about air superiority (which itself is highly unlikely) and better find a good scenarios for the survival of their birds. :-)
