Chinese have realize that they need to get their act together for getting advance engine tech, all of their military and civil aviation is dependant on it that is why they are taking rapid concrete measures to mitigate that problem. You will see soon they will achieve their goals in this department too.

J-31 is not coming till it design and related systems are as per requirements of PAF. There is a reason PAF is looking into TFX too.

So you think a burraq drone is better choice than a F-16 in taking out distant enemy strategic targets?

Yes !! I think sending a F-16 to bomb Indian munition factories, army bases,dams and air fields is a stupid strategy while Burraq stands a better chance. Indian are not eating channa's or fooling around, sooner or later that F-16 will come under fire by Indian SAM units. And if that F-16 is shot down during the bombing mission that will be a great loss to Pakistan Air Force. PAF don't have F-16s to throw away like that, it usually operates 76 units not 500. F-16 is an asset to PAF not a throw away.
The cost of Burraq UAV is very low to use in surgical operations. The cost of Burraq UAV per hour flying is only $1000 or one hundred thousand Pakistani Rupees. If PAF uses F16s than it cost more than 1 Million PKR per hour.

So i will say it again what i have said before "F-16 is an Air superiority fighter and its not a bomber ", even American don't use F-16s for Bombing missions , they use B-52's and B-2's.
