Bro @ isi i m just talking about the money if we have we can can go for a new joint venture with china on a 4.5 or 5 gen. For example we had invest in JF 17 500 million dollar initially and look qwhat we have today a true fighter jet if we invest more 1 billion $ we can convert this jet a true multi role can made engines avionics and strong composites for air frame then it can handle more load and longer range so all is money we have already knowledge to do so

So your point is that whats the point of buying a jet which is already got beaten by our F-16s, by PAF pilots? I don't treat these exercises in much esteem....

They are controlled exercises...in a controlled environment...Sometimes competing forces deliberately under perform in such exercises to make other force show and reveal their true and all skills, resulting in learning from them and improving their own tactics...

Typhoon is formidable beast....Lets see what PAF is thinking...

On serious, if all this second hand fighter can get for 5-6 billion dollar should buy this expensive toys or try to get Chinese flanker as SU-35 dream seems fading. Or revive J-10 procurement again to supplement F-16 and keep as insurance if F-16 becomes unavailable.

The Italians were offering Romania the 24 second-hand Typhoons for $1.1bn and Spain was offering its planes to Pero for $60-70m a unit. Both included a support package of some kind as well (likely 3-5 years).

Honestly, let's just wait and see. I am too tired to dream, would rather see how things go (or don't go).

Italy has (or had in 2013) 24 Typhoons available for sale from its stocks. Spain was looking to sell 18 Tranche 1s.

If purchased by PAF, what they will add to PAF's capabilities? Do they need to be upgraded soon? Wil they come with 5th gen WVR missiles and Meteor BVR?
