Well, Imperial Japan is a tiny country with an industrial base around 1/10 of USA, while China has a bigger industrial base than USA right now.

While Imperial Japan most likely spent 20-30% of its GDP for its military expenditure, while China only spends around 2%.

And we are not foolish enough to spend 20% of our GDP in the military expenditure like USSR.

umm georgia was stupid enough to start an international incident!. australia is a very important strategic location for the usa, and we wont start no international incidents, that will come from countries like yours.

sure you could nuke us, but not all of us will die, and you will pollute many areas for years to come, it will be unlivable.

if you tried to invade us ever, you could be sure you would have a big fight on your hands, whereas you might win because we are outnumbered, we have many actual seasoned soldiers! and our soldiers are very very good at what they do. 10000 of our troops is worth 30000 of yours.... but because you will most likely have suprise on your side as well as more planes etc you will do a bit of damage, but be sure if you ever did, that your fleet is very big, because we will blast your ships out of the water too

I believe when war started out Japan & US was on an equal standing, but \after Pearl Harbour US cranked up their industrial base and then there was no equality. As Admiral Yamamoto correctly said that 'We have woken up a sleeping giant'.
