this is because JF-17 is a 3rd generation fighter aircraft ( as claimed by the PAC website too) and LCA is 4th generation fighter aircraft...

You realize that We go by different designations right? The J 10, and JF 17 are 3rd gen and the J 20 is 4th.

there is much more in a fighter airctaft then just engine and airframe...and that gives it the designations ....JF-17 is no better then MIG-21 bison..

When you don't know what afterburners are you forfeit the right to judge any plane. At least make the effort to look it up.

your own PAC guys started the comparison..... Why blame us

it's a comman prectice to campare your product with the best in the same class....we did that too with our LCA to Gripen...
but yes it's seem strange to read it on official websites...

I have a question. On reading various information pools on JF-17 i thought JF-17 could reach mach-1.8 after the air intakes were redesigned but the information presented on the first page by PAC says its still mach-1.6. Can any one clarify here?

after years of modification and improvment , the maximum the IAF mig-29 getting is 75-80kn...how jf-17 going to get 15-20% more ( claimed at 94kn ), without compromising any degine perameters..
infect in the RD-93 verient , they did made few degine changes .....
