Question of failed/abandoned projects raises its head every now and than, and It has not been properly been answered yet by the concerned quarters like HIT, SPD or Even by late defence production ministry.
Corruption is not only reason, there are others as well, like centralization and absolute absence of proper R&D in these departments.
When we have some technical problems in defense or industrial productions, our bosses run abroad for readymade solutions.
They should buy readymade solutions but as a fill-gap measure not as a solution. The Local genuine R&D is must if we want any indigenous industrial and defense products.
Moreover we should open defense productions units to Pvt Sector as well. for example is a pvt firm can locally produce armor only instead of complete system, we should encourage that co to enhance it skill in armor production and let this co to sell armor in international and national markets to make money, because state own production units are useful to some extant but beyond that its Pvt Sector that can take us to an advance level production house.
