A moment it must have been for acm noor khan.....considering the fact that he was in his mid thirties, when he was made the air chief......no wonder he led the PAF so aggressively, specially during the 65 war.......unlike today where the chief is 60ish....so loose all to most of their aggressiveness....specially when u have pm like nawaz n a army chief as bajwa

I just realized that my dad is standing on the extreme right . ..so emotional to see a new photo of him in Dacca in his young days as flt lt. You can also see fl lt. Masud Hatmi standing behind Nur Khan. He retired as an air commodore and his son fawad hatmi is now an Avm

Became VCAS and an outstanding officer of high calibre. Prior to VCAS, he was AOC northern air command and prior to that was base commander Sargodha. Prior to that he was Director Planning at Joint Staff HQ and ACAS O prior to that I believe. does anyone know what he did post retirement ? He was from a Shia family and is a great example of how PAF does not look at firqa to promote people . he was only 5ft 3-4inches in height and probably will not qualify as a Gd pilot today. PAF was lucky that have him

The Nanchang Q-5/A-5 (Fantan) was a Chinese built jet ground attack aircraft based on the Soviet MiG-19. Its main role is Close air support. It served the PAF from 1983-2011.

Post retirement, the PAF transitioned into an airforce that solely operated single engine fighters due to their lower operational and maintenance costs.
