Ordinary Pakistanis seem to love Indians. Do we love them back?

First, it came from the otherwise sombre immigration officials at Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto airport where we landed: a lady officer, while scanning our documents, grinned mischievously at us and said, “Indiawaale tohsuspicioushote hai” – Indians are objects of suspicion, right? We grinned back and proceeded for the airport police verification for foreigners, where the official took a break from an argument with another man to say, “You are from India? You must have some tea!”

Man, they were lucky, if it had been me, the customs officials would've had tea at my expense.

of course not all pakistanis love us... but in my own experience I see more hatred from Indians than ever before. Earlier I used to think all pakistanis hate us blindly.

I agree with you on the bolded part!..I guess the Indian Media needs to tone down on the India Pakistan hate game..In reality...while I grew up in India until the age of 21..I hated Pakistan(Polices of the Gov)..not Pakistanis.

I don't think many Indians think about Pakistanis, one way or the other. The Pakistani state, on the other hand is despised across the board and it is not because of any war mongering. The previous Indian PM did his best but an attack like 26/11 in Mumbai completely changes matters. Not many Indians around who have a favourable opinion of the state of Pakistan post that attack.

Yes, the common man is too busy making ends meet, he only thinks about Pakistan when the opportunists fan the fire for their benefit. And again, no one's innocent, not you not us. We have as many issues with the Indian state as you have with Pakistani. Both countries try to undermine each other and it will keep happening until the people are able to think independently and objectively without the hue of propaganda which is fed to them.

No "Indians" will not root for Pakistan..against India..but they will root for you, against anything else that is not related to India..Even I root for Pakistan to succeed in anything that has no against India related to it.

I have met a few Pakistanis in London and Nederland...they seemed to be friendly and nice people...

But in India, its impossible to even imagine meeting or talking to any Pakistani, specially in western part of India and cities like Bombay..

Sorry to say but most common ppl think pakistani means terrorist and they come to India to carry out blasts on trains or buses......people to people interaction is very rare !
