There will never be any specs for J-10B for a long time. The Chinese simply do not release them.

What we do know is that it is superior to the J-10A which is estimated to be equivalent F-16 Block 50/52 - deducted from level of avionics on Chinese produced JF-17 and it's aerodynamic shape couple with engine thrust. Do the maths to what level the enhanced J-10B will be.

Not saying that J-10B will be exactly equal but no reason for it not be considered a peer to either Euro-fighter or Rafale.

J-10B may well have better pilot seat and comfy air conditioner. What else you know about it to say it "must" be equivalent to Rafale/EF2000?

How stupid can Indians get. Their procurement process is a total failure. Either they forced themselves into the corner or they maneuvered themselves into one where they had to buy 36 Rafaels off the shelf. They will no follow-up order for local production because if that was feasible the original contract for 126 planes would not have been scrapped. This literally overnight contract 36 planes is nothing but an excuse for kickbacks and even these planes will not be delivered because the contract will turn out to be the Bofors scandal for the Modi government, just give it a few months. We all know Modi is just a puppet for some Indian tycoons and some of them are the agents for Dassault. It will be difficult to prove the link because of multiple intermediaries but the it will ultimately come out. They reason they did not buy US fighters is because the US manufactures cannot give kickbacks any more.

Who says that it is not actually BETTER than Eurofighter/Rafale then? Remember it takes some of the technology that was used to develop J-20 - things like low-intercept AESA radar, sensor-fusion and will be able to fire ramjet BVRAAMs like PL-21D when ready.

No-one knows as it has not been put in a competitive competition yet with the Euro-canards.

UK defence chiefs consider it a real threat to the Euro-fighter so I would listen to them than the posters on this forum.

While China still lags Russia in engines(should be equal by 2020) it leads them in radar and electronics now.
