In Modi's case RSS had its reasons to promote him.

The normal politics (in our state ) used to be..... You do good in Kalalaya Rashtreem.... SFI/KSU/ABVP.... Then you do good in youth wings - DYFI/Youth Congress/Yuvamorcha, then to the real politics

It is an increasingly irrational yet successful campaign against Modi so far.

Everyone I know believe that this is an irrational anti-Modi campaign.I mean that this campaign is so transparently irrational and biased that anyone who was not hating BJP/Modi already, do not believe it.


And this campaign was long in coming.If not today, then in 2018. If this is the best opposition could throw against BJP, then Modi would face no threat in 2019, granted he does not lose nerve.This sort of shrill campaign could break target's spirit and force him to commit errors.

With the kind of political system we have, this is going to be case for a decade at least....... Look at our leaders almost everyone is above 60, and they have learnt politics this way...... New gen leaders are very few, and they could bring the change we look for.....

you make it sound like politicians are completely different species from "common" people. There is not much difference between indian politicians and its so called "common" people.

in fact, politicians deserve praise for being able to control 1.2 billion idiots. If i was in place of modi, would have already lost my patience and changed to chinese type ruling.

Because we have many fools who do not study or search for real information. they believe what they see on TV or read on TOI, IE or HT. Its a shame that our population has no qualms towards a party who ruled for 60 yrs and gave us pjamas. but when its MODI they want taare and aasman within 2 yrs.

BJP also suffers because most of its vote base is educated middle and rich class. Most of these people prefer to enjoy OFF day on election day instead of exercising their vote rightfully.

BJP should at least make voting compulsory. It will surely make a difference for the 4-5% lead which CONgrass has normally due to poor and Dalits/Muslims.

I can not think of any other way to get these politicians to zip their mouth.
If at all there was a general popular enough to take over the reins of power of India, then it was Field marshal Manekshaw. In 1971 when the army was at its height of popularity then Ms Indira Gandhi had once asked Manekshaw if he really planned a coup-d-etat?
Manekshaw in his typical style answered "Madam Prime Minister, don't you think I would not prove to be a worthy replacement?". Lol
Since it didn't happen in 1971, it will not happen ever.
Ofcourse there are some practical difficulties too.
