As to Dongbei,I only hope we grow new forests on locations there where tons of forests were cut off in 50s 60s 70s,while leaving forests presently remained like Great Khingan untouchable,I can less about its economy,i care about its environment more

许多产业如医院等，不必在三环内，可以往河北迁。天津的工厂也一样。

北京和上海，广州不同。在北京周围基本上全是农田，而上海呢？现在已经和昆山，苏州连为一体了，而南边又是杭州湾，基本上无法再扩张。未来的发张方向是内地，服务业，高附加值产品，高等教育和消费。广州在这方面还不一定比中部和东北更有优势。

There are too many good schools, research labs in Beijing, attracting all the Southern talents.

Why dont put all these institution in Shanghai?

I am cock sure China government will build Beijing and environ into a world class region. Not very good if the South grows too powerful.

I think the major problem of NE China is neither location nor connectivity, but primarily outdated industrial structural.

That is their advantage in the first place.nothing wrong with that.It will still remains that way. Things DoESN't change likr that.

Some industries which are supposed to be in Wuhan now are also in NE China. GDP of my city is more than 1 trillion yuan, will surpass GDP of entire Jilin Province in 2-3 years.

NE China needs to excel only in two roles：（1）as the country's heavy industrial hub（vehicle（trains、autos）making、shipbuilding、machine tools，aerospace、chemicals etc）and（2）the country's breadbasket（rice、wheat、soya bean，corn、ginseng etc）。

Big two, Jiangsu and Guangdong 6.77 trillion yuan and 6.51 trillion yuan respectively.
So GDP of each of our strongest two engines is more than 1 trillion US dollar now, and still growing at 7-8%.
