It's a country based on Rule of Law, Legalism. They just look good because they are rich. People are look good and well-cared because they are self-sufficient, hardworking and save a lot of money. Not because of good government welfare system.

The only Confucianism thing about Singapore, is the traditional society.

meh the "blame" can go back much farther, maybe the qing losing all that land and wars, perhaps the ming with the turning inwards and all, or maybe the song for being militarily weak and unable to jump start a industrial revolution, whatever it is, its in the past, that said the land that is gone(as in settled in negotiations)...is gone maybe in the future itll come back but dont count on it and work with what u have.

You could say the last Dynasty rulers were to be blamed for being backward and arrogant. This led to the many foreign invasions and eventually the downfall of the Imperial rule. From there on we lost plenty of lives due to the civil wars and the Japanese invasions. Treasures were looted from China and we lost some land as well. Both KMT and CPC made mistakes, Mao and Chiang had their shares of bad policies and the result is what see today. Sun certainly didn't had this in mind a separate mainland and island. Maybe in the future we are wise enough to reunite.

Considering the state China was after the collpase of the Qing Dynasty and the civil war that followed and than the war against Japan, China emearged pretty much intact. If you look back to the QIN dynasty China today is much bigger than it was except for the Yuan and Qing dynasty.

Both KMT and CCP were equally stupid. A man like Mao Zedong was necessary, to bring unity and order. Order and unity is achieved, communism is already gone. Everything is in the past now, it's right, we should move on.

PRC is still poor, a lot of problem there. You still need another 20-30 years to improve and prove yourself. You do it great, serve the people right, you will not only win the heart of Taiwan people, but also the rest of the world.

It's true that Taiwan media is controlled by CIA, to make sure we broadcast the news according to US narrative.
