Hi did the right thing. Fight only if an objective is achieved. Fighting just for the heck of it is a waste of life and its not worth it.

That would have been horrific. Had that played out, all the soldiers' family members would have been massacred and millions more benglais would have been butchered for nothing. Non of that would have stopped the inevitable creation of bangladesh. The right thing was done.

They were Not morally weakened . Majority of soldiers wanted to continue fighting against indian terrorists but order from high command had to be obeyed and that is what a professional army do and that is what gen niazi did. Even if you watch sone videos from indian sources they had acknowledged the spirit of Pakistani soldiers who laid down arms on order of high command. My mentor and old man now above 80 years was a Pow so do not tell me am talking fiction

You force us to treasonous by defying election results. Bhutto and drunker yahiya was main culprit for 71 debacle. If they handed over power to mujib the history of Pakistan would different.

I agree with a lot of what you say, but it wasn't that straight forward. To an extent, Mujib didn't want to be prime minister of Pakistan, he wanted to be prime minister of Bangladesh.

As for Yahya, typical drunkard general of the Pakistan army, he had his heart in the right place. I hear that to his very end, he blamed Bhutto for the fiasco.

Families of Pak soldier's and govt officials were also slaughtered... By mobs but mostly by their own Bengali colleagues...

It was a shyt fest.

Dhaka can easily be secured until a cease fire .. Niazi was a pu$$y and he will be remembered as a coward .
