The survey is not at all skewed its just YOUR opinion thats skewed cause you desperately want these afghan useless refugees to stay here so much that a discussion about throwing them out leads u to abuse pakistan and even ridicule its existence by calling it indian muslims refugee camp.

As of the voters being urban dwellers, then dont worry internet is used even in small villages in pakistan, secondly even for a second if ur childish urban voters argument is considered, then guess what these urban ppl arent that badly effected by these refugees as much as those who are living in backwards areas turned further backward due to these afghans, if these people cant stand them would those pakistanis tolerate them who have to live next to these unwanted bunch.

Wasn't aware of the poll, had i known about it i would have voted NO. simple facts to justify my answer

1. Does anyone know how many Afghan refugees are/were involved in terrorism in Pakistan?

2. Majority of the refugees are women and children, how many women and children have committed terrorism in Pakistan.

3. As for integration into society, i know so many Afghans in Australia, they are very hard-working people. Yes some of them hate Pakistan and mostly because of Pakistan's support for Afghan Taliban but alot of them love Pakistan and most of these people have lived in Pakistan for many years. Infact i meet this Tajik couple that lived in Pakistan for 12 years. They speak perfect Urdu and not like the bollywood gangsta style hindi that they speak in Karachi.

4. Also these people will have no way to support their families when they go back. So a better solution would have been to only send back the useless ones and keep the ones that are hardworking and skilled.

I also support @AZADPAKISTAN2009 completely. Afghanistan needs to merge with Pakistan. That is the only solution to all the problems, like no Durand Line issue, removal of Indian influence, no pashtunistan issue etc etc.

I love your optimism and out of box solution but frankly we just about hold together the federation we have let alone introducing even greater challanges. Howevder we should have gone for a land grab back in 2002 when US invaded Afghanistan.

1. Captured Wakhan
2. Captured a 5 mile buffer along the Durand Line as a security zone and a bargaining chip with Afghan government to incentivize their recognition of Durand. Think Israel. Think Sinai. Think land for peace

I don't agree. At that time, Pakistan only just, and I really mean only JUST, got out of economic sanctions. That was a huge win, and the economy grew at 9% in real terms for one of those years (I want to say 2004, but can't be bothered to google it).

To think annexing a part of a foreign country, while it was being targeted by NATO, AND while Pak had all these sanctions on it, is just wishful thinking. I was around at that time, it was no where near possible. There was the whole george bush "you're either with us or against us" speech. Pak was always accused of being a safe haven for the Taliban and Al Qaeda. We did not have that much freedom to move around.

Why not do selective immigration! The Turks took afghans who were good carpet weaver's in the 80's which gave them a very good carpet industry. Pakistan should revise its immigration policy and people who can be decent citizens like businessmen should be allowed!

mostly afghans are occupying businesses in Pashtuns localities . their departure will give opportunities to our local Pathans .

Pakistan would have to bait the Afghans into acting aggressively at a different border region, and may even have to feign defeat or cede some (low value) territory. That would give them the pretext to take Wakhan.

You realise some people live in Wakhan corridor? Military option is out of question no matter what. Only scenario I can see is Afghanistan eventual disintegration once Americans leave. Then Pakistan can pursue few thousand ethnic wakhi to join Pakistan and merge it with G-B.

I personally think its waste of time but many people on PDF think otherwise. For now Pakistan should concentrate internally in defeating terrorists coming from Afghanistan everyday and sending back refugees.

Is this possible for Pakistan to take Afghan territory (Wakhan corridor)? I heard the importance of this corridor since my childhood.............. to access directly the Central Asian states this is very important to take this peace of land................. but how we can take???

All you need is a spine and tolerance level to deal with international pressure.

The people of Wakhan will easily opt for Pakistan.. they share culture and history with GB and Chitral.. plus better economic opportunities.

Not worth to take inch of Afghanistan if it means economic sanctions. Only reason Pakistanis want wakhan corridor is for economic reasons and taking it forcefully defeat the purpose. Pakistan isn't even going ahead with Iran gas pipeline and instead with TAPI.

TAPI is pipe dream running through Afghanistan but sanction free.
