One trillion species residing on Earth: Study

And homo sapiens rule em all!

Humans are awesome. We've won the evolutionary struggle of life.

Until the time when in our urge of curiosity we open up some closed door of another world on this earth and more intelligent beings invade us.

do we really need 1200 beetle species?... :)
There was a story I once heard in my local Mosque

Once Prophet Moses (MUSA A.S) asked Allah that you have created everything on purpose but I do not understand the purpose of this lizard which is already crawling on the walls. What is the point of creating him?

And Allah replied, Oh Musa, the lizard is also saying the same thing that you created everything with a purpose but why did you create Musa, what is he is doing over there? --- something like that

'very funny allah but you still did not answer the question'... Musa should have replied... 'I thought i was made because you want my prayer and love... what does lizard do?'...

It doesn't matter what Musa should have replied or justify his creation. God already knows the purpose of his creation. It is the lizard that needs to know... How would the lizard know the purpose of creation of Musa?. Just like we care least for lizards...

in one of the documentaries, they said that we know more about the outer space than we know about the species living in deep seas, and still around 90% of the living things in seas are unknown to mankind.
This is how much human beings care about the Nature.
Must be a reason why so many don't believe global warming is real.

I believe this evolved for lot many reasons, one of them is that the challenges of reaching the depth of ocean is equally difficult, and space has always been the dream of many. We have sea just by our side, but the inquisitiveness to know whether there is life like ours outside of our home that pushed mankind to space. Something reported from space is gathers more eyeballs than finding a new species in ocean, which happen every year even from land.

The nay Sayers of global warming put up really interesting arguments though..

Not yet, we haven't colonized any of the outer planets or moons. We're also still using carbon nonrenewable sources for energy.

Maybe another few thousand years...

I would imagine perhaps 40,000-50,000 species a earth is a space zoo , where aliens leave a copy of a species
