One language that you love to speak

I wish I could speak Persian (Farsi) just for their beautiful poems. Anyone care to teach me?

Man just awesome ........lovely language my mother knows it pretty well......and i just watch her when she speaks.
She read Persian as a subject.

My favorite one is

Dar jawani tauba kardan shewa-e-paighambri
Waqt-e-peeri gurg-e-zalim mei shawad parhaizgaar

وقتِ پیری گرگِ ظالم می شوَد پرہیزگار

To be pious in one’s youth is the style of prophets.
In the old age, even a cruel wolf gives up his cruelty.



Generally i like Allama Iqbal's poetry in persian.
Get someone who knows it well and learn it with proper attention, you'll cherish it...........don't be like me who is still unable to have a grasp on it ...

I found that almost every language sounds beautiful when spoken properly, i.e. with proper enunciation and intonation. Conversely, even the most beautiful language sounds crap when the speaker is lazy.

Consider the common, street Urdu compared to Mehdi Hasan's perfect pronunciation.

Similarly, cockney English v/s the Queen's English.
Or southern French v/s the Parisian French.

We speak street Gujarati at home, but my aunt speaks perfect, proper Gujarati.

It's all depends on the speaker.

I can speak Hindi, urdu, English, Gujarati, Marwadi and Maithili. For your reference below is translation.

Hindi - Tu Kyar kar raha hein ?
Urdu - Aap Kyar kar rahe hein ?
English - What are you doing ?
Gujarat - Su kare che ?
Marwadi - thu ki kare hein ?
Maithili - ki karya che ?

I learn Hindi in School, Urdu from dd news urdu, English by writing articles, Gujarati as I live in Gujarat, Marwadi as it is my hometown and Maithili because one of our staff is from Bihar.

But I love to speak Hindi forever.
