I believe you and me as middle class paying our taxes regularly... So contribution for medical facilities are already been taken care off.. The problem here is that not enough budget being allocated to healthcare system. And whatever allocated is not spent wisely or honestly..

And a lot of the Indian middle class thinks that once someone has paid their taxes they have done their patriotic duty and if anyone points to the wrongs in the system the middle class always can say "Go to Pakistan".

When even a capitalist bloc country like Spain nationalized its private hospitals and clinics last year thus making free the healthcare for all its citizens we in India have to tolerate that unnecessary construction of the PM house and all its attendant resources which could have been used to construct oxygen plants and pre-fab COVID hospitals.
