  • "Matters related to Jammu and Kashmir are entirely internal affairs of India," Indian ministry's spokesperson says.
  • India says other countries including China have "no locus standi to comment."
  • Sources say China's foreign minister will make a surprise stop for talks in New Delhi on Friday.
Reacting to the comments made by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir during the 48th Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference in Islamabad, India rejected the stance and termed it an “uncalled [for] reference”.
According to NDTV, India's Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said the Kashmir issue is India’s “internal matter”, adding that they reject the “uncalled reference.”

"Matters related to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are entirely the internal affairs of India. Other countries including China have no locus standi to comment. They should note that India refrains from a public judgement of their internal issues," he said.
The publication reported that the Chinese FM had made a reference to Kashmir in his opening speech at the OIC moot in Pakistan. It said that Wang said: "On Kashmir, we have heard again today the calls of many of our Islamic friends. And China shares the same hope.”

China's foreign minister will make a surprise stop for talks in New Delhi on Friday, an Indian official told Reuters, though neither side has formally announced what would be the highest-level visit since border clashes soured relations two years ago.
Wang has attended a conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Pakistan this week and is set to also visit Nepal on Friday, as part of a tour of South Asia.

The Indian government source, who requested anonymity, said Wang was expected to meet with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, and while the agenda was unclear, discussions over the Ukraine conflict were expected.
India's foreign ministry declined to comment. A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said at a daily news briefing on Wednesday that he had no information to offer at the moment.

China puts Modi in his place.

China puts Modi in his place.
How? He made an ‘out-of-syllabus’ unsolicited comment. India just responded by saying it’s none of their business.

Now if this comment was intentional and remains ‘uncorrected’, then his subsequent visit to India will not affect the status quo in any way.

Soon enough, india will joint the chorus commenting from Taiwan to Xingjiang. Not sure if ’problem child’ China wants further isolation. But hey, if it rocks their boat, by all means go ahead — just don’t complain later with adult diplomats throwing child-like tantrums.

China is holding large areas of your so called integral region, so how is it none of their business exactly?

Mao said Tibet is the China's palm while Ladakh, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan and Arunachal are the fingers.

India should vacate Chinese land.

India is just a small fry. It international influence is limited compare to China.

US and China are part of G2 and the leaders of the world.

Would, Should, Could,...No body cares.

Both US and India recognize Taiwan as part of China.

Impotent rage better describes what India is expressing. Still, it's a step up from being to scared to even utter China's name.

Modi has said no one is occupying Indian lands.

Filthy Indians have been begging Chinese FM to visit India.

Or you can try like boycotting Beijing Winter Olympics ?

Chinese FM should cancel visit to India and show Modi his place.
You seem fun. The request (proposal to visit) was made by China. I’m guessing they want to work through LAC, Quad, Ukraine, Trade etc. If they don’t, as always, status quo remains and India has viable paths to follow in either scenario (cooperative vs belligerent China)

If the Chinese FM continues to make impromptu comments on his little road trip, he might as well cancel it. Because the Indian side wouldn’t be enthusiastic about the visit anyway — nobody likes wasting time.

We will certainly show him the best of Indian hospitality, of course — and he can maybe visit a few monuments perhaps.

I’m hopeful that someday soon Chinese diplomacy will come of age and they will all stop trying to ape a ‘Tim’ I once knew — who unfortunately suffered from sudden bouts of facial ticks and roid rage.

Sure. Like rights for squatters and similar? Perhaps.

Occupying Indian territory does not afford anyone the right to dictate public policy in Kashmir. I guess for as long they hold our territory, they are free to issue all the directives they want to the thousand+ mountain goats in the region they sit (squat?) on. But that really ought to begin and end there :)

You mean like how Indians love to harp on about every single matter within Pakistan which they have zero relation too

In fact dear leader Modi loves to bring up Balochistan over and over again:

Remind me again, what relation does India have to Balochistan?

India has no relation to Balochistan but we as Pakistanis have everything to do with Kashmir
You're comparing two completely different scenarios
