Official Propaganda Film: Chinese PLA Naval Aviation and Carrier Fleet,中國航空母艦官方宣傳片

. . . . .
Whoever shoot this movie must be a big fan of Jeremy Clarkson's Top Gear....

It remind me a lot of Top Gear film on car.

We Chinese are catching up fast even in making...some kind of top gun video....cool long life to China:yahoo::victory:

The weirdest part about watching this is knowing the Liaoning is just 30 feet longer (that's less than half of the length of the plane taking off) than a 1945 era Midway class aircraft carrier (which by the way had catapults added in the 1950's).

Well the Liaoning is supposed to be their training carrier, its the framework for which they will produce a larger version of the Varyag. In fact, if i have my data straight, they are constructing 2 varyag class (60,000 tonnes each). Imagine , they will soon field 3 carrier battle groups in less than a half decade's time.

Can't deny they will have an impressive fleet by then.

whats weird is 1945 USA had more than 100 carriers, now it has ten, says alot about a declining power.

lol, you do realize that 1945 era USN had to grow that large to combat the Imperial Navy, right?

After the end of the 2nd world war, and after the Imperial Navy's defeat, the USN no longer needed to be so large, hence many of their warships were scrapped later on. It was only to combat the IJN that the USN had to be that 'large'. Even against the Soviet Navy -- the USN was not that 'large'.
