I guess this is more to do with closer ties between Pakistan and China. US sees China as its enemy. A friend of a enemy is is an enemy seem to be the US policy. Under Trump this should intensify because on one thing Trump is clear..China is a enemy of US.

Well it's not as simple as that. Trump likes Russia, the senators don't. Russia is also getting on famously with Pakistan. Let's see what happens.
