Another question is how much should the government fear consequences for actions of groups like LeT, JeM etc. After all consequence can be ratcheted up. If Pakistan is worried that it cannot handle the blowback from LeT etc, how will it manage the blowback that might come as a consequence of LeT's actions? So far the consequences have been only diplomatic, what if they are expanded?

Sure they are, that is the prerogative of the Pakistani government as to how they handle the situation.

It's everybody's prerogative honestly, because the global community always gets pulled into it- see Kargil, see 26/11.

If this man's group is caught with another incident like 26/11 . The blowback with come from the U.S. too. The world can't afford 2 nuclear powers going to war. So the alternative will be complete isolation and strict sanctions. That is why I can't understand this affinity to protect such groups among pakistanis. Country should come first not these groups.
