Now Manmohan Singh blames BJP for stalled growth !

Democracy is not the problem of development. The problem is the pace you adopt it and the way you use it. Actually the ultimate goal of China is also democracy, a political system adapted to Chinese culture and economic situation. This is called reform. India should do the same. There is no one size fits all democracy. A true Leader must be creative and brave enough to find the right way of democracy for his country, then he is the hero of his motherland.

When is the right time to become a democracy man? You are poor so people shouldn't have a voice? There are rights and ALL people deserve to have them, under ALL circumstances. Because you are poor, or even because you are not able to provide people the justice or economic growth they deserve doesn't take those rights away. Sure in India, for instance, we are not able to give people the rights, justice they deserve, but that doesn't mean they don't have them. Our job is to make things better, not to take away what they do have on some social experiment.

Actually, it 100% proves my point. With very certain exceptions, the trend in the West has been very slow growth, and the reason is because we were the one's creating the new growth out of utilizing our minds to create new advances.

You Indians are only growing faster because you are still attempting to catch-up, something which is much easier than true innovation (yet you seem to even have difficulty in such a simple task, as your growth rate in Q2 2013 has now slowed down to developed country level).

If you are utilizing your mind, you would understand that the point I was making was not about rates of growth, that democracies have their inefficiencies. And the you have had yours too.

He is PM from last 9 years and he is blaming others.
Useless corrupt chor.

Its my fault... Jo is chu***e ke naam par vote diya Congress ko last election mein...

Without the great Manmohan Singh India wouldn't have even grown at all. He is the one who started it. Give the man some credit you fools.

MaunMohan Singh is a front Xiongdi! We like him as a honest person but hes more like a rubber stamp who anyone can use that stamp to get their job done!

Doesn't that whole graph thing look like LORD DARTH VADER? Just look at it! ;)

They introduced many reform bills in parliament including retail and pension....it was the BJP that stalled them all.

What reform bills friend care to explain?

Finish congress and do our country good!
It's time people had enough!Fight for your right!, Destroy this corrupt Government!

No one can set right the economic mess created by corruption, wrong policies and policy paralysis just by blaming the opposition. :girl_wacko:

Nope it can be done, but what we need is a head like Mr.Modi to make changes. And for all those who say Mr.Modi can't do magic i know personally how many welfare regulations which are pending which were unsigned since past 15 years. ;)The only reason they didn't sign is cos their predecessor didn't sign SO! WTF?

Oh well.. what do you expect? man has no explanation for the kinda of mess created by his governance. Best way to mask your shortcomings is to divert the blame to someone you despise the most! MMS has become a politician at last... bit late in the day though!!

Not to mention he spoke at last, WOW!i was thinking recently to conduct Deaf and Dumb Medical Tests! ;) (Yeah i really want cos he never hears or speaks so makes me wonder).

Jaitley spoke about "policy paralysis", UPA's preference to populist policies over fiscal prudence and the spiral effect of governmental corruption like in allocation of coal block and 2G spectrum licenses adversely affecting the economy and eroding investor confidence.

Very valid point : Priority of populist policies like MNREGA etc. has worsened the financial balance sheets , the impact of curtailing LPG subsidies / de-regulating oil prices is not enough to counter balance the effect of such policies ..and with the food security bill coming in ...:undecided:

FREE EDUCATION, FREE MEDICAL CARE FOR EVERYONE! Then once we had that we can have our quarrels. Provide these and you will see a massive change.

Why was his mouth zip tight before when things seemed going downhill. Hang the ba$tard

If this guy have any integrity left, the government should fall. This currency crisis has exposed to the rest of the world that India is not a real parliamentary democracy. In a real parliamentary democracy, the government would have received a no confidence vote and the cabinet would dissolve. The PM and ruling congress leadership would resigned. Or they would have been thrown out of office by congress MPs. So we now can all agree that Indian government is a farce.

If people of India votes the same people back into office again, than the democracy in India is a farce. If the same goons are put back in power in the next election, than India in a worse political landscape than dictatorship like China, Cuba, or Belarus. Not to mention quasi democracy like Russia. India would need a coup to bring a dictatorship to put India back together. Otherwise, expect India to disintegrate in 10 years.

India's democracy is working just fine as far as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sari Lanka, Nepal, China, and may be even Bhutan are concerned.

You never know, in 10, 20 years, south Asia will be more peaceful, and Kashmir could become independent.

Oh this civilization stood 5000 years, what more can mother nature throw at India? it's neighborhood has to somehow work right? cos they are tributaries of India.;)

^^^

India these size in area, boundary and people was not like this what 65 years ago.

So it is foolish to say India of 5000 year history. Before the British established the British East India Company, there was no India. India was then a geographical reference.
