Making Fun about murders isnt funny
But you gotta admit that is pretty unfair...Considering the guy killed people without a reason
@Akheilos
Em Just So astonished of your thinking everyone
He is already receiving punishment of crime he committed
I a m astonished with the uni's decision...Same man same qualifications 2 yrs ago ...What changed their minds? The only thing new in his CV is the murders he committed...
As for reciving punishment...Can you honestly tell me that was fair? Had it been your family members would it be fair from any angle? A wrong is a wrong...
.I would stand up for Norway any time of the day but in terms of punishments- I think it really is backwards....
now their are two ways
You can work on that person so when gets out he becomes part of the society and help him and his society around him to progress
Or Like the Pakistani Police does screw up his mind and when he comes back to society he commits more crime and kill more people
Dude he was screwed up..
.In a blessed society like Norway he went to kill people for no reason....I mean in Pakistan where society screws you up you kill then that is to a certain degree understandable frustration
BUT even then its a crime...
You Choose what you like a worker or a killer
How sure are you he wont use his new found skills to kill further? What were his previous motivations that made him kill?
E.G You All should study about tea time project , How we solved racism problem in Norway
@Akheilos
Brother had he shown mercy or it was accidental one can reason...
AND 2nd case is he hasnt done anything new in his CV "WHY" did the uni change its mind? Do they need to fill seats? No one else deserves education? What is it???
E.G You All should study about tea time project , How we solved racism problem in Norway
@Akheilos
Yes that was an awesome move....A nation standing together against a problem to find a solution....With the media and royalties involved and that is how it should be....
Norway is a model country but letting a murderer who felt no remorse or wrong in what he did into a university that is highly recognized is disgusting and in no ways comparable to the racism battle using tea!
@Darth Vader can you answer this?
Coz this can statement below is equivalent to what this article is saying as compared to the tea example you gave
Then let's start sending ISIS to Oxford and Harvard.
And I applaud it for upholding a commitment to non-bias by allowing anyone in Norway to seek an education.
Believe me I have the most respect for Scandinavian nations ...Can you tell me what he did in 2 yrs to boost his CV that gave him a "non-bias" placement in the uni as compared to his CV 2 yrs ago?
Not everyone in Norway is doing life (21 years plus optional 5 year sentences until further determinations are concluded), most prisoners will be released at some point and we think it's best to afford them an education if they seek one. That allows them a chance to be productive once their debt-to-society has completed.
True...But doesnt Psychology mean anything? Giving education and letting the mass murderer know the law is on his side is not just for the families who suffered!
The Norwegian prison system houses 3710 persons with a maximum capacity of 4000.
So you think your tax money is going to good use?
Norwegians are the most passive people I have seen ....Warm and friendly but they are still human with feelings...Imagine your child was 1 of those murdered would you think this news is awesome as you do now?
The vast majority of those released never commit an act against society again, Norway only has a recidivism rate of 20%. The United Stated by comparison has a rate of 76.6%. 4 out of every 5 prisoners will never return to the prison system of Norway. What's the benefit of refusing them an education?
Please dont compare with USA...their system isnt anywhere close to Norway's but at least they manage to punish the pathetic low life once in a while...
Can I just ask you to answer me honestly, is this just for the families who lost their loved one to this monster?
Did he feel a single drop of remorse or regret for what he did?
As for your 21 years snark, it's the maximum sentence in the Norwegian legal system, but upon its completion a review is undertaken prior to the release of an inmate. If they don't meet the reviews qualifications their sentence can be prolonged.
At the end of the initial term, however, five-year increments can be added onto to the prisoner's sentence every five years, indefinitely, if the system determines he or she isn't rehabilitated.
That is fine...it is bad enough that killing 77 people didnt even give him 77 yrs in jail not even 1 yr per person killed...Is life that cheap?
Breivik's will be prolonged.
We are not sure...Who knows he might be wanted by the job market when he graduates?
I rather the uni give other people a chance at its courses than such a person....Just my opinion but I guess Norwegians know what they are doing....Like people around the world get a go at Pakistan without knowing its situation....and refuse to listen to the locals....I say this: I bet you guys know what you are doing!
