I did not claim that. You see the question is about the moral predicament and double standards of the west ... that is the whole debate is about so if you differ on this then please explain why so? ... unfortunately this behavior manifest and come to limelight in cases as the OP among others.
I didn't get it; why are you not able to fathom the issue here...why don't you see the bigotry based on religion and race here...
Again the scope is broader (not specific to Norway).
There is no moral predicament. The Norwegians are applying their law, which is the law they've democratically made for themselves, and in accordance with international law. There really is no issue there. WTF do you care (and what business of yours is it) if Breitvik tries to keep busy by getting a degree, while he rots in jail.
As for double standards, I think there are so many live-examples here on the forum of people with double standards, western and non-western alike, that it really is a dead horse as far a discussion goes.
But I'm sure that that too will be considered propaganda by folks here who can't stand others having different ideas or opinions from theirs..
Besides, for an idea of how other European nations deal with jailing terrists, do look into Baader Meinhof group and RAF in Germany, or IRA in UK, or ETA in Spain, or Brigata Rossa in Italy. Or are we too young to know/remember about these?
The law of the West has become jokes: protect criminals from pulishment
Unlike the magnificent law and legal system of the PR of China, you mean?
Besides: what law of the West. Are there any specific countries you would like to addres?
