There is difference between immigrant & refugee.

Yes, indeed there is. However most of the time they are the same thing but one masquerading as the other. Refugee suggest the push fact factor was war, instability or persecution. In other words not economics.

Recieving countries are more open to refugees then economic migrants. So there is very strong incentive to claim your a refugee. However Indian's can't claim refugee because nobody in the West considers India to be afflicted by war. However in Afghanistan and Pakistan border areas the WOT is well known.

Thus the reason why all Afghan's and many Pakistani's will claim refugee status. The Indian migrants simply can't.

They need to build Pakistan rather than run away from it. The shocking thing is even though they are a very small minority, you have amongst them Middle Class people. There was an interview of one guy who had once held a plush job in Karachi. He was being interviewed by the BBC and I couldn't believe what he said next, he explained that when he was made redundant the Germans had also opened their borders, so him and two of his friends made a break for Europe, as life would be so much better.
