Northeast: A new haven for jobless Malayalis

Well Boss i was just trying to prove a point...If u know what i mean...:pop:
No Intention of calling anyone names...:smokin:

meanwhile i am not from bihar hehehehehe... i am pahadi, from UK (not united kingdom)

.
Whats a pahadi? and whats UK, if its not united Kingdom?

. . .
Guys whats wrong in bihari ?

There is nothing wrong with Bihari Mate...
but when its used in a broader sense to call a bunch of people of different states then it gets wrong..
Just like calling all south indians Madrasis....
Just used the term Bihari to highlight a broader Issue...Relax....:pop:

frankly speaking, moving from South India to North India is the same as moving to another country (at least for me)

I had few Mallu friends while growing up in Delhi and also almost all the hospitals in Delhi got tons of Malayali Nurses.. I think those Malayalis love to live and earn in so called different country.. Even in US, I have Malayali friends, very friendly people and fun to have a drink and do barbecue with.. :D

A point to be noted here. Most malayalis especially the migrant ones are highly qualified individuals. Changing times have resulted in north-eastern laborers migrating en-masse to Kerala to take up menial jobs ( most of them have little or no education ) ; whereas malayalis in turn have started migrating all over India ( Kerala does not have the necessary infrastructure to support the huge population of over qualified personnel ).

This yields a very positive result. North-eastern can earn a significantly better livelihood in Kerala and send back remittances to support their families back home. Keralites , being overtly nationalistic and very homesick promotes national integration and knowledge/technology/education infrastructure in the north-east.

Win win for India.

Kerala is full of migrant labour from north east and Bengal. You will dare to board a Guwahati bound Train from Trivandrum especially 2nd class in holiday season.

You missed another very important development. North-eastern college students. Kerala is fast becoming the hottest destination for north-eastern college aspirants. Especially to those in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Manipur. This is owing to the fact that Keralites generally don't care to "discriminate" or "exclude" unlike our northern cousins. In kerala we also include these guys in every college event and make them feel like they belong. The only point of difference, if any would be their dietary habits which does not go in line with ours.

@Mech: even Afghans are studying in Kerala.

I know that. I met a contingent of Afghani students during a trip to Delhi. But who cares for foreigners ? Besides, its off-topic and would drive our immediate western neighbors into a tizzy.
