Just a piece of advice for you brother . Something that even many north Indians like me are ignorant of - Never calla a non-Tamil a Madrasi , most consider it offensive .Maybe your teacher is a Tamil who lives in Kerala .

Btw , Even many South Indians and North-East Indians call all North Indians as Bihari which is equally ignorant .Just like some People from North India call all North easterners as Chinkis .

A South Indian, especially a person from Kerala will never introduce themselves as 'madrasi' . Either you or your teacher is a racist or ignorant. Your teacher is not from Kerala. That's sure.

On topic:
North East is best for Rubber cultivation. So for a malayalee NE will be a heaven. Cheap land, labour and hard working mentality of malayalees will bring a lot of change in the economy of North East through rubber plantation. Not only rubber but they can try pepper, cardamom and all sorts of spices which is grown in Kerala.
